Over the last year I have continued to monitor the T-206 Polar Bear market on eBay. Prices really dipped during the late summer. Then, after football was over, prices went back up.
I decided to sell all my PSA 2 cards, I had seven.
In all, I profited $65 on these seven cards. The best on one card was a $16 profit, actually doubling what I bought it for.
I have determined, from this point on, to try to get PSA 4 and above cards and use PSA 2 or 3's simply to buy low and sell high to make profit to buy better cards.
That is my theory! After observing card prices for over a year, I'm pretty astute at knowing when to buy and what I can reasonably expect to sell them for at the right time of year.
However, as you move up to higher grades and more famous players, price dips don't occur as much. There are also fewer for sale, making it harder to bide my time.
The key to the process is called PATIENCE. Something I don't always have. But alas, there si one way to get it and that is by putting yourself in situations where you need it.
